Germany, as
a country, holds a prime position in Europe both metaphorically and
literally. A country that is able to combine a remarkable
diversity, an untamed nature and a youthful creativity to perfectly
produce everything that a traveller looks for in a destination:
excitement, entertainment and enthusiasm.
The German capital Berlin is an up-to-date, vibrant city where
almost anything goes! From stylish nightclubs to intriguing art
galleries and museums, Berlin has so much to offer. However, its
atmosphere contrasts with those towns of academic surrounding and
historic university cities, such as Heidelberg and Freiburg, which
convey an attitude of peacefulness and tranquillity. But don't
expect this in Berlin. It's energetic, playful vibe rubs off on you
and keeps you on your toes all day... and night!
Munich is the third largest city in Germany. Here, the old and
the new are blended
beautifully together. The agricultural
landscape and lake-dotted forests surround Munich, the capital city
of Bavaria, with the German Alps behind. Munich juxtaposes a
thoroughly modern city with a traditional heart. Here you'll
find the most contemporary meeting facilities, hotels (and other
venues widely available) as well as an enormous selection of both
renowned gourmet restaurants and charming local offerings that
capture Munich's traditional flair. It is also home to some
of the world's largest and finest museums, including the Deutsches
Museum and the three 'Pinakotheks' ('old', 'new' and 'modern' art
museums). Golfers will be delighted by the 43 courses, all
within an hour's drive, and 'Fußball' fans travel from all over to
see popular teams play on some of Germany's best pitches,
especially the world famous FC Bayern.
Tourists also congregate in this city for the world famous
Oktoberfest, wanting to be included in the revelry alongside
Lederhosen-clad Bavarians, all enjoying vast quantities of beer and
sausage!
Munich
is definitely a place to visit thanks to its strong cultural scene,
richly endowed art collections, romantic palaces and endless
shopping opportunities. It is also the home of BMW cars and centre
of the German film industry. Indeed, from balmy summers in the beer
gardens to the glittering Christmas markets during snowy winters,
Munich is a desirable destination for all.
Tradition, history, culture and fun - a year-round
destination!
